Getting started

Noemata predominantly runs as a local stack. Install the CLI, and one command runs everything:

Terminal window
npm install -g noemata@canary
noemata up

On the first run, noemata up walks you through a short setup wizard, then downloads and starts the services it needs — ClickHouse, an OpenTelemetry collector, and the Noemata app — and opens the UI in your browser. It detects the tools you already use — like Claude Code — and will automatically start collecting their telemetry, and install dashboards for them.

Exploring Noemata

If you’ve installed integrations, you’ll immediately be able to see them in your browser. The side-bar will open on first load, displaying the list of dashboards that are available. You can also press Cmd + K or click the magnify icon in the header to see a list of available pages. If you’re starting with a clean slate, head to Authoring Frames.
